One component of the Main Sensory Slaved Armament (MSSA) is the stabilized electro-optical sensor system (SEOS). The bearings it uses are characterized by high rigidity and by consistent accuracy in both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, because at a firing range of several kilometers every thousandth of a degree of deviation matters.
